This course is taught by a New York State Certified Educator and meets the NYS requirements for a Personal Watercraft (PWC) Boating Safety course. It is intended to provide a basic knowledge of safe and legal boating practices. This is an 8-hour instructor led workshop, which includes a textbook and a 50 question multiple choice exam, which you MUST pass. Satisfactory completion will earn you an official completion certificate, is approved by the AASBLA and meets education requirements for states with boater education laws. Course completion is good for life and is recognized by the US Coast Guard. Participants must be over 10 years of age at the beginning of course. This certificate may also entitle you to a 15% discount annually on your watercraft insurance. The fee includes all books, materials and final exam. The state charges $10.00 for the certificate which will be paid separately – details given during class. The registration fee DOES NOT include the state certificate and is paid directly to NY upon completion of the course.
